Our mission

We’ve all felt trapped in a storm at some point in our lives, in search for a ray of light, in search for help and support.

When a disease takes away a child’s ticket to adulthood, families are left alone with limited resources to face the harsh realities ahead. Many conditions deteriorate slowly adding to the strain on family life. Brothers and sisters often feel left out as attention steers towards the sick child. The normalities of a family outing or a full night’s sleep no longer exist.

Le Phare, Enfants et Familles est un organisme à but non-lucratif qui se consacre à soutenir ces familles afin d’éviter, comme c’est trop souvent le cas, qu’elles ne s’effondrent sous le poids de leurs responsabilités.

A non-profit organization, The Lighthouse, Children and Families aims to relieve the intolerable strain, a strain which can all too often lead to family breakdown. In providing a network of care for families of children with life-threatening illnesses, both In-Home and within a Care Centre, The Lighthouse, Children and Families seeks to help families and their children to enjoy the best of life.
